Dignity is everything
THIS MOTHER'S DAY HONOR A WOMAN YOU LOVE WITH A GIFT TO A WOMAN IN NEED
The Women's Lunch Place will offer cards online and at Prudential Center Shops Kiosk; Proceeds help serve record-number of women in need this Mother's Day
BOSTON (APRIL 1, 2009) - This Mother's Day, you can honor your mother, or other special woman in your life, with a beautifully designed card that delivers a warm greeting to your mother and to women in need. For a $25 donation, The Women's Lunch Place will send a hand-signed card on your behalf, with proceeds helping to serve the record-number of poor and homeless women in Greater Boston this Mother's Day.
New this year, the Mother's Day cards will be available for purchase at a special Women's Lunch Place kiosk at The Shops at the Prudential Center. The kiosk, conveniently located between the U.S. Post Office and Ann Taylor in the Belvidere Arcade, will be open April 18, 22-25, and 29-30, and May 1-2 and 7-9. Cards will also be available for purchase online at www.womenslunchplace.org beginning April 1, 2009.
The cards feature artwork by an artist served by The Women's Lunch Place. Last year, more than 3,600 handwritten cards were purchased, raising $90,000. "Proceeds from the Mother's Day card campaign help us provide nutritious meals to hundreds of deserving women on Mother's Day and throughout the year," explained Women's Lunch Place Executive Director Sharon Reilly.
The Women's Lunch Place 2009 Mother's Day Card Campaign is made possible by the generosity of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P, and St. Cecelia's Parish.
The Women's Lunch Place has been serving Boston's poor and homeless women for more than 25 years and is one of the few places where women in need can find safety, comfort and sustenance during the day. Located in Boston's Back Bay and drawing volunteers from across Greater Boston and well beyond, The Women's Lunch Place is a caring community that provides a nutritious breakfast and lunch, as well as social, educational, wellness and advocacy services.
