Rachel Batiancila
Rachel Batiancila, originally from New Haven, CT, graduated with honors from Boston University in 2006 with a B.A. in Economics. Since graduating, she has been working as a research associate at Forrester Research in Cambridge, MA, a leading technology and market research company. Rachel has spent most of her life studying dance, including modern dance, lyrical, ballet, and jazz. She has also performed at various venues.home page
As a seasoned dancer, this is Rachel's first marathon. Prior to training for the Boston Marathon, she ran the Half Marathon course at the 2007 Long Island Marathon as her first race. She has been running ever since!
She is extremely honored to run on behalf of the Women's Lunch Place, not only because it supports a great cause, but because she has been volunteering there since September 2007. Rachel believes in the WLP's accepting and caring environment. She feels blessed to represent a place so close to her heart, and can't wait to share this wonderful experience with all the other runners.
